Shapour Azarbarzin (Persian: شاپور آذربرزین) was an Iranian fighter pilot.
The deputy commander to Amir Hossein Rabii before the Iranian Revolution, he was appointed as the commander of Air Force in c. 20 February 1979, and served in the capacity until the first week of March.[1] In April 1979, Prime Minister Mehdi Bazargan imprisoned him, and later put him on house arrest. His imprisonment lasted for almost a year until he escaped by plane on an Iranian Airlines flight in late November 1980.[1]
