Shinobu Toyoda is the Representative Director at Unity Technologies of Japan. He is also the co-founder of and was the Chief Operating Officer at Sega for 14 years (1989-2003). He is distantly related to Japanese industrialist Sakichi Toyoda, the founder of the Toyota Motor Corporation.

Toyoda was the Executive Vice President and COO of Sega of America, Inc. (SOA) from September 1989 to September 2003. Here, he was also a liaison between Sega Enterprises, Ltd. and SOA. When Tom Kalinske began as the CEO of SOA, Toyoda was there to give him the lay of the land.
