Shirakawa Station (白河駅, Shirakawa-eki) is a railway station in the city of Shirakawa, Fukushima, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

History[]

Shirakawa Station opened on July 16, 1887. The Hakuhō Line connecting Shirakawa with Iwaki-Tanakura operated from this station from 1916-1944.^{[citation needed]} The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987.
