Shirvan-Salyan Economic Region

Shirvan-Salyan economic region (Azerbaijani: Şirvan-Salyan iqtisadi rayonu) is one of the 14 economic regions of Azerbaijan.[1] It includes Shirvan city, Bilasuvar, Hajigabul, Neftchala and Salyan administrative districts.

History[]

From 1991 to 2021, the territory of the above-mentioned administrative districts was part of the Aran economic region (currently the Central Aran economic region).

The Shirvan-Salyan economic region was established according to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated July 7, 2021 “On the new division of economic regions in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.[2]
