Shoaib Ibrahim is an Indian television actor. He is known for playing Prem Bhardwaj in Colors TV's Sasural Simar Ka and participating in Star Plus's Nach Baliye 8.[2][3]

Life and career[]

1987–2011: Early life and career beginnings[]

Ibrahim began his television career as Karan Pratap on Imagine TV's Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein (2009–10).[4]

2011–13: career struggle and break[]

Ibrahim shot to stardom with his lead role as Prem Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka via Colors TV from 2011–13, where he met his future love Dipika Kakar and they began dating. He got replaced by Dheeraj Dhoopar in 2013.

2017–present: Comeback and later career[]

Following three year long break, Ibrahim resumed his TV journey and played dual roles of Abhimanyu and Aditya Singh Rathore on Sphere Origins's production Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai via Star Plus opposite Surbhi Jyoti.[5] Next, he participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 8 on Star Plus along with his wife Dipika Kakar. On February 22, 2018, he finally tied the knot with her in a wedding ceremony.[6]

In March 2018, he participated in Box Cricket League 3.[7] His first series after his marriage became Zee TV's Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey where he played the role of Varun Babbar opposite Yesha Rughani. Post its end, Ibrahim starred in Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors TV as Abhimanyu.[8] In January 2019, he made his debut into Bollywood industry with the movie Battalion 609 as Kamraj Mishra.[9]
