The Sidi Bel Abbès Tramway (Arabic: ترامواي سيدي بلعباس) is a system of public transport in Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria. The first section includes 13.74 kilometres (8.54 mi) of route and 22 stops.[1][2]

History[]

The construction of the line was commissioned to the Turkish company Yapi Merkezi and its subcontractor ENGIE.

On June 22, 2013, the start of work was marked by Amar Tou, the Algerian Minister of Transport.[3]

The first of the 30 Alstom Citadis 402 type trams, assembled by Cital, was delivered to Sidi Bel Abbès on April 8, 2016.[1]
