Simin Hussain Rimi is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent member of parliament for Gazipur-4.[1]

Early life and education[]

Simin Hussain Rimi was born in 1961 to a Bengali Muslim political family in Kapasia, Gazipur, Dhaka District, East Pakistan. Her father was Tajuddin Ahmad, the inaugural Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and her mother was Syed Zohra, another prominent politician. Rimi has two sisters, Mahjabin Ahmad Mimi and Sharmin Ahmad Reepi, and a brother, Sohel Taj.[2] She married Mushtaq Hussain.[3]

Rimi is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Gazipur-4 (Kapasia).[4]
