A small company dedicated to bringing happiness to the world receives a simple request to help a woman’s unhappy son smile again, but the job turns out to be more complicated than it seems. Charlie and Pim work for the Smiling Friends company, which is dedicated to bringing happiness to the world. They meet with their boss, who tells them that a woman wants them to put a smile on her son's face. They go, and find her son, Desmond, ready to kill himself with a gun. Not wanting him to commit suicide, Charlie and Pim take him to Pim's house to show the importance of family, to a house party to make friends, and to "Dave Land," an amusement park, but nothing makes him happy. Meanwhile, Alan, who also works for the company, is trying to find his piece of cheese. He discovers a bliblie has taken it, and when he tries to take it back, an army of bliblies chase after him. Charlie, Pim, and Desmond arrive back at the office to find the bliblies are trying to crucify Alan. Desmond discovers his true passion is killing bliblies, and forms a bliblie-killing company.
