Smiths Island is an island in Plum Creek, next to Lake Erie. It is in Monroe County, in southeast Michigan.[2] Its coordinates are 41°52′21″N 83°21′40″W / 41.87250°N 83.36111°W[1], and the United States Geological Survey gave its elevation as 568 ft (173 m) in 2008.[1] It appears on a 1936 USGS map of the area.[3]
