Socialist Area (Italian: Area Socialista, AS) is a social democratic political party in Italy, founded in October 2015. Its leader is Bobo Craxi, son of the long-time socialist leader and former Prime Minister Bettino Craxi.[2]

In December 2017, AS joined the left-wing coalition Free and Equal, led by Pietro Grasso.
