List of episodes

The twenty-fourth season of the American animated sitcom series South Park began with "The Pandemic Special" which aired across multiple networks on September 30, 2020, and ended with South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid. Consisting of two extended-length episodes and two streaming films, it is South Park's shortest season by episode count.

While broadcast rights have remained with Comedy Central, this is the first season where the exclusive streaming rights have been held by HBO Max.

Production[]

This season began with two extended-length episodes addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Sources originally conflicted on whether the episodes were part of the season[1][2] or standalone specials.[3] This conflict was resolved when season twenty-five was officially announced in January 2022.

On August 5, 2021, Comedy Central announced that Parker and Stone signed a $900 million deal for extending the series to 30 seasons through 2027 and 14 feature films, exclusive to the Paramount+ streaming platform owned and operated by Comedy Central's parent company, ViacomCBS. Two films were confirmed to be released at the end of 2021.[4][5] Parker and Stone later clarified that the projects were television films, and that it was ViacomCBS who decided to advertise them as feature films.[6] The films have production codes that are in alignment with the other episodes,[7] and are thus considered the third and fourth episodes of the season, respectively.
