South River (Great Egg Harbor River tributary)

The South River is a 16.3-mile-long (26.2 km)[1] tributary of the Great Egg Harbor River in Atlantic County, New Jersey, in the United States.[2]

It rises in Richland and joins the Great Egg Harbor River approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) downstream of Mays Landing.[2] A short outlet has been cut from the South River to the Great Egg Harbor River across from , allowing water traffic to bypass the lower part of the river paralleling the Great Egg Harbor.
