Spencer Petras is an American football quarterback that plays for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

High school career[]

Petras played high school football at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, California. Petras was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.[1] Petras originally committed to play college football at Oregon State, but later decommitted and then committed to Iowa on December 15, 2017.[2][3]

College career[]

After being redshirted in 2018 and seeing limited action in his first two seasons, Petras became Iowa's starting quarterback in 2020.[4]
