St. Andrew's Secondary School, Adikpo, popularly known as SASSA, is located along Ikyogen Road, , Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria.
History and operations[]
SASSA was established by the in 1967 and graduated its first class in 1971. The school started at St Ann's Primary School, Adikpo before moving to the present site along Ikyogen Road, Adikpo. The pioneer principal was Father Herbert Noonan, and the first Nigerian principal was Mr. J. A. Suswam. Father Noonan later went to Rome in 1985 as the Holy Ghost Fathers secretary general, before his death on 9 October 1986.
SASSA is a boys' secondary school that operates both boarding and day systems, with adequate hostel as well as sporting facilities.
St Andrew's is a science school with well-equipped laboratories. The school has always done well in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) SSCE. Over the years, SASSA has grown to be a renowned school, as graduates have excelled in their various professions.[1]
