St. Charles High School is a public four-year high school located in St. Charles, Minnesota, United States. Founded in 1905, today the school serves over 260 students in grades 9–12.[1] The school is located in the St. Charles Public Schools district.
In 2017, St. Charles Public Schools invested more than US$4 million in a new heating system for the school, which had been using a steam heat source since its opening.[2]
Additionally in 2019 a referendum was passes to expand the school with a new four room science wing to replace the now repurposed science rooms that hadn't seem much change since 1980. "Fitness" additions in an auxiliary gymnasium a larger weight room, and updated locker rooms. The Ag program received a new home-ec classroom. Both the Ag and wood shop were made larger. Administration facilities were expanded, and the main hallway and library were redone to accommodate a new commons and cafeteria. Completing in 2022 the school has seen more change recently than it has in some time.[citation needed]
Athletics[]
St. Charles High School offers eight sports for women (cross country, volleyball, soccer, dance team, basketball, softball, track, and golf), and eight sports for men (cross country, football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, track, and golf). A student wishing to play hockey may do so through Winona Senior High School.[1]
