Startled Calf is an American hardcore punk band from El Paso, Texas, United States, formed in 1991. It featured Omar Rodriguez on vocals, Ralph Jasso on guitar, Jimmy Hernandez on bass, and George Fraska (Hosni) on drums. The band broke up in 1992. Several years later, on July 8, 1995, Hernandez died of cancer the day after his 21st birthday. The other members are still making music in many different creative forms.[1][2]
