Stay with Me is the second studio album by American singer Regina Belle.[5][6] Released on August 22, 1989, by Columbia Records, the album is Belle's sophomore release; two years after her debut album, All by Myself. The album peaked at #63 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.[7] It includes the hit singles "All I Want Is Forever" (featuring James "J.T." Taylor), "Baby Come to Me" (an R&B #1), "Make It Like It Was" (another R&B #1) and "What Goes Around". "Good Lovin'" was released as a single in the UK, where it reached #73 in the UK Singles Chart.[8] The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on January 22, 1990.[9]

Critical reception[]

The Los Angeles Times wrote: "Given lushly orchestrated, adult-oriented ballads to interpret, this rising contender never fails to meet the challenge--but the odds against her are tough when Belle strays from her basic strengths."[3]
