In 1997 the duo would sign to rapper/entrepreneur Master P's record label No Limit Records, they would later make their first mainstream appearance in their collaboration single with Master P titled "If I Could Change" produced by No Limit Records in-house producer DJ Daryl which was the hit single from their debut album Pre-Meditated Drama, Master P would later be added to the song & it would be used it as the first single from the I'm Bout It: Music from the Motion Picture, the album was a success and made it to number 29 on the Billboard 200 and number 6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The following year, Steady Mobb'n would release their second album titled Black Mafia, only making it to number 82 on the Billboard 200.
