Stephen Keith Lang[1] (March 24, 1949 – February 4, 2017)[2][3] was a Canadian musician best known for his role as a bassist in the rock band April Wine from 1976 to 1984.[4]

Early life[]

Lang was born in Montreal, Quebec. He was the father of Canadian musician Erin Lang.[5][6][7]

Career[]

Lang joined April Wine in 1976, replacing then-bassist Jim Clench.[8][9] That year he recorded with the band on their album ‘The Whole World’s Goin’ Crazy’.[10]

When April Wine reformed in 1993, Steve Lang was not amongst the line-up.[11]

After leaving April Wine, Lang was working in the financial field.[12]

At the time of his death in 2017, Lang reportedly suffered from Parkinson’s disease.[13][14]
