Suleiman Ali Nashnush (1943 – February 25, 1991) was a Libyan basketball player and actor and one of the 20 individuals in medical history to reach or surpass eight feet (244 cm) in height. In 1960, he successfully underwent surgery to correct his abnormal growth.
He was the tallest basketball player ever at 244.8 cm (8 ft 3⁄8 in) although he was only 239 cm (7 ft 10 in) when he played professional basketball.[1][2]
Nashnush also had a small role in Federico Fellini's film Fellini Satyricon where he played the role of Tryphaena's attendant.[3][4] He died on February 25, 1991.
