Suman Adhikary is an Indian film director, actor, producer and screenwriter.

Early life[]

He was born in Calcutta in 1985. He graduated from the West Bengal University of Technology and then completed an MBA from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.[citation needed]

Career[]

He started making documentaries in 2008 and worked with theatre groups in Calcutta. He also spent some time as an editor and actor. He made his first documentary, Ekhono Tanchhi, in 2008, about hand-pulled rickshaws in Calcutta. He has since made four short films—Unseen (2010), Countdown (2011), My Precious Gift (2012), and Resurrection (2013)—and is working on a feature film, Photographer (post production). He is now working on another feature film based on folk culture.[when?][citation needed]
