Super Dancer |
Super Dancer is an Indian Hindi-language kids dance reality television series, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The winner of Chapter 1 is Ditya Bhande. Bishal Sharma is the winner of Chapter 2 and Rupsa Batabyal is the winner of Chapter 3. The show is produced by Ranjeet Thakur and Hemant Ruprell for their production house Frames Production.[1]
Concept[]
The show aims to find a child with the potential to be the future of dance. [2]
After the initial auditions and mega auditions, 12 contestants are selected to be competing for the title of Dance Ka Kal (future of dance). They are each paired with one choreographer who train, choreograph acts and also perform with their contestant. The dancers perform on Saturdays and along with their choreographers on Sunday. The performances are voted by the audience every week on the website or the SonyLiv App. On the basis of the number of votes, one kid is being eliminated every week.

Both hosts have hosted all the four seasons but Rithvik Dhanjani left the chapter 2 in middle. So the show was hosted by Jay Bhanushali with Paritosh Tripathi.

Power Card Entry[]
Five contestants - Laxman Kumbhar (Called Laxman Kumar by his father), Siddhanth Damedhar (both of whom were eliminated from the show earlier), Lakshay Sinha (who couldn't perform earlier in the competition due to his injury), Tiyash Saha and Harsh Dhara (both standby contestants) were called back on 30 October 2016 to gain a Power Card Entry into the competition. The judges chose Laxman Kumbhar and Siddhanth Damedhar and they re-entered the competition.
About Unique contestants[]
A boy named Harsh Dhara came for the show and the judges selected him for mega in the middle of his audition. After his performance, it was revealed that the boy had no mother and both he and his father was unable to speak or hear anything. Later on, Sony Entertainment Television decided to treat him and the judges promised him direct entry into the grand premiere. He came back in the wildcard round. His disease was almost cured. He performed for some time but the judges did not choose him so he was unable to continue.[citation needed]

Power Card Entry[]
Three contestants, Vaishnavi Prajapati from Panipat with her Super Guru Manan, Akash Mitra from Patna with his Super Guru Rishikesh Jogdand and Mishti Sinha from Ahmednagar with her Super Guru Palden Lama Mawroh took a return on Power Card Entry. With top 9, voting started. For almost 6 weeks at a stretch, there was not a single elimination on the show. Firstly, Arushi Saxena (known as all rounder of the show) had to leave the show by normal elimination and provided the show Super 8. Mishti Sinha had to bid goodbye to the show due to an injury in her leg. Doctors suggested her to have respite and show got Super 7 .
Robo Girl Trend[]
Muskan Sharma termed as "robotic girl" of the show had set a trend of perfect indomitable robotics. She pursued such a different and tough dance form making many people her fans. She performed robotics with contemporary and salsa which gave her a distinct look. Her Super Guru Paul always tried to present a message in her dance in which they were invincible. But voted less till super 7, she was eliminated.[citation needed]
Varun's Kind Gesture[]
In the day of grand finale, Ritik danced on a medley of songs, including "Bulleya", "Dil Diyan Gallan" and the title track of Dangal, impressing Varun Dhawan. When he learnt that Ritik's father, Gaurishankar Diwaker, is unable to work as his left hand is nonfunctional, Varun decided to help the child as he did not want his studies to suffer.[citation needed]

The Special Guru[]
Only 11 Gurus came in Mega Audition, and only 11 children's name were revealed in front of all the Super Gurus. In the grand premiere, the last guru and the student were revealed to be choreographer Shyam Yadav and Nikhil Baghel.
Wild Card Entry[]
Prerna Salvi, Dhairya Tandon, Naitik Singhal & Anwesha Bhatia have taken wild card entry on 21 April 2019. Dhairya and Naitik were in audition round while Prerna and Anwesha were in Super Dancer Maharashtra. Once Geeta Kapoor was invited in SDM as a guest, there she announced that winner and 1st runner up will get an opportunity to come as wild card entrants in Super Dancer Chapter 3.
The Battle Trend[]
In Chapter 3, the judges told the contestants about 'The Dance Battle' in which two super dancers have to compete in a dance off. But it was not taken seriously in this chapter and it is expected to be taken seriously in their upcoming chapters.
