The women's 200 metre butterfly competition of the swimming events at the 1999 Pan American Games took place on 7 August at the Pan Am Pool.[1] The last Pan American Games champion was Trina Jackson of US.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

This race consisted of four lengths of the pool, all lengths being in butterfly stroke.[8]
