Accreditation[]

Swiss[]

SMC University's associate, master's and doctorate programs were accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) from 2007 to March 31, 2018.[4][5] SMC University's business programs are listed as accredited for that period in CHEA's Database of Programs Accredited by Recognized U.S. Accrediting Organizations.[6] The programs currently hold neither programmatic accreditation, nor institutional accreditation.

GHANA

SMC University was registered in Ghana as a foreign university and it was accredited by The National Accreditation Board (Ghana) - NAB. In August 2016, the National Accreditation Board withdrew the accreditation status of SMC University. The university was asked to meet further requirements prior to re-registration in Ghana. However, The Executive Director of the National Accreditation Board, Mr Kwame Dattey stated that students who have already graduated from SMC University programmes possess valid credentials and that continuing students could still go ahead and complete their courses since the NAB has maintained the registration of the SMC for such students in the next three years.[7] The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has partnered with SMC University over the years most especially for Master's and Doctoral programmes.[8]
