Syed Mehdi Ahmed Roomy is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament of Kushtia-4.

Career[]

Roomy was elected to parliament from Kushtia-4 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 1996 and 2001.[1] He is an adviser to former Prime Minister and Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Khaleda Zia. Ex chairman of the standing committee on the estimate. He is the President of Kushtia District unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party 13years & ongoing and before that, he has been secretary-general of kushtia District]BNP for 11years. He was the first president of greater kushtia Zilla Jubo-Dal in 1978. People of kushtia know him and his father very well for their work and development in kushtia. He's in a good position and admires kushtia like his dream. You admire politics so much that it is in his root and people love him for his behavior. He's a great freedom fighter. Still he lives in many people's soul in kushtia [2]
