Szczaniec [ˈʂt͡ʂaɲet͡s] (German: Stentsch) is a village in Świebodzin County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Szczaniec.[1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) east of Świebodzin, 39 km (24 mi) north of Zielona Góra, and 60 km (37 mi) south-east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The village has a population of 1,473.
