T. J. Roberts

Dr Thomas Jones Roberts (1924-2013) is an acclaimed authority on the wildlife of Pakistan as well as an internationally recognized ornithologist. Amongst his works are "Mammals of Pakistan" and "Birds of Pakistan".

Early life[]

Roberts was the son of Sir William Roberts who went to the Indian subcontinent in 1906 and joined the Indian Agriculture Service.[1] He first came to the region in 1946.[2]

Employment[]

He has been the managing director of Roberts Cotton Associates Ltd, a company founded by his father, since 1966.[1]
