"Takane no Ringo" (高嶺の林檎) is the 9th single by NMB48. It was released on March 26, 2014. It debuted in number one on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart.[1] It was the third best-selling single in March[2] and it was the 9th best-selling single of the year, as of June 18.[3] It has sold a total of 451,335 copies.[4] It reached number one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.[5] It was the 15th best-selling single of the year in Japan, with 451,335 copies.[6]

Background[]

This single will be released in 4 versions: Type A, Type B, Type C and Theater Edition. The title song was first performed during NMB48 Team N's stage on March 7, 2014. This single includes all members except , who was graduating, and who was on a hiatus due to her injury. This is 's last single.
