"Take Me Away" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Fefe Dobson with the record's producer, Jay Levine, for Dobson's self-titled debut album (2003). It was released to American contemporary hit radio on August 18, 2003 as the album's second single and first to be promoted internationally. "Take Me Away" debuted at number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 2003 and later peaked at 87.

Critical reception[]

Chuck Taylor of Billboard called "Take Me Away" a "refreshing change of pace" in the pop music landscape and wrote that the song "rocks steady with a siren assault of hyper-hooky guitars."[2]

Track listing[]

  1. "Take Me Away" (Fefe Dobson, Jay Levine) — 3:32

There is a version "For Promotional Use Only"[4] sometimes referred to as a DJ single, with just the song and a brief "CALL OUT HOOK." It has a slight variation to the cover art and the title is rather plainly displayed in the upper right corner.
