Tanya Maniktala (born 7th July 1997)[1] is an Indian actress.[2] She appeared as Ishita in the famous Indian web series Flames. She stars as Lata Mehra in BBC Television's adaptation of Vikram Seth's novel A Suitable Boy.[1][3][4]
Early life[]
She studied at St. Francis De Sales School, Janakpuri.[5] She became interested in acting and joined the theatre society while a student at Shivaji College,[3] from which she graduated with a degree in English literature in 2018. She also worked as an advertising copywriter.[1] Later she worked with Timeliners in TVFPlay's Flames. After that she was asked by a friend to audition for a new production, unaware that the show involved was A Suitable Boy.[3] It is only her second on-screen role.
