Taraka is a genus of butterflies in the family Lycaenidae that inhabit the East Asian Palearctic and Indomalayan realms. It includes the species Taraka hamada, de Nicéville, (Peninsular Malaya, Sumatra, Thailand) and Tamai & Guo, 2001 Sichuan.
