Tarsicius Jan Van BavelOSA (1923–2007) was a Catholic priest and Augustinian friar, one was of the most important scholars in the thought of Augustine of Hippo.[citation needed] Van Bavel was Director of the Augustinijn Historisch Instituut in Heverlee, Belgium, and Professor of Theology at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.[1]
