Tate County School District

The Tate County School District is a public school district based in Tate County, Mississippi (USA).

The district serves the town of Coldwater and the unincorporated communities of Sarah and Independence as well as most rural areas in Tate County.

There were a total of 3,030 students enrolled in the Tate County School District during the 2006–2007 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 48% female and 52% male. The racial makeup of the district was 40.89% African American, 56.57% White, 2.38% Hispanic, and 0.13% Asian.[1] 47.6% of the district's students were eligible to receive free lunch.[2]
