Teacher's pet
Teacher's pet is a person that has advantageous position compared to other students, where the teacher views the student extremely positively and the student does everything to satisfy the teacher.[1][2] It is viewed unsympathetically by both the school's teachers and other students. The phenomenon is extensively acknowledged by the public, but actual research on the topic is very limited.[3] Calling somebody a 'teacher's pet' can be considered offensive.[2]
