Tears in Heaven (TV series)

Tears in Heaven (Chinese: 佳期如梦之海上繁花; pinyin: Jiāqī Rúmèng Zhī Hǎishàng Fánhuā) is a 2021 Chinese television series based on the novel Variety Flowers At Seaside written by Fei Wo Si Cun. It stars Shawn Dou, Li Qin and Zhang Yunlong.^[1] The drama was filmed in Shanghai from November 2016 to March 2017.^[2] It is set to air on various channels on March 23, 2021.

Synopsis[]

Du Xiaosu is a wilful entertainment reporter who impersonates as a nurse and sneaked into a hospital ward to snap a high rising star’s photo after a car accident. She bumps into Shao Zhenrong, a suave doctor on duty and that begins their bitter sweet love relationship. Du Xiaosu met Shao Zhenrong’s brother. To her horror, she discovered she had a past relationship with his brother, Lei Yuzhen, who stood her up. Much to Du Xiaosu dismay, Shao Zhenrong'S mother reveals that she had a relationship with Du Xiaosu's father who broke her heart back then. She forbids her relationship with Shao Zhenrong because she could not welcome her into the family as she would be a constant reminder of her pain. Du Xiaosu breaks up with Shao Zhenrong. Heartbroken, Shao Zhenrong leaves for Yunnun.

On his way to Yunnun, Shao Zhenrong faces a landslide and got injured severely. Du Xiaosu rushes to Yunnun and watches Zhenrong die. As time goes by, Lei Yuzheng finds it more difficult to resist his feelings for Du Xiaosu and realized he had fallen in love with her right from the beginning. Will Du Xiaosu ever forget Shao Zhenrong and learn to accept Lei Yuzheng?
