Telphusa necromantis is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It lives in South Korea, Japan and China.[1]
The wingspan is ten to twelve millimetres. The forewings are cream-white with a rather broad dark grey irregularly edged slightly oblique, almost basal fascia, partially darkly suffused. A moderate oblique dark grey fascia appears on the costa before the middle, suffused darkly interiorly, with an irregular projection on the dorsum posteriorly, bearing a small dark grey projecting spot beneath the black second discal stigma. A quadrate dark grey blotch is on the costa at two-thirds and an irregular dark grey blotch is toward the apex, as well as a marginal series of cloudy dots around the apical part of the costa and termen. The hindwings are light grey.[2] Adults are on wing from early June to mid-August in Korea.
The larvae feed on Quercus serrata, whose leaves their parents tie together. The species is thought to overwinter in the larval stage.[3]
