Temitope Duker
Temitope Duker (born 22 July 1978) is a Nigerian filmmaker and radio show host.
Personal life[]
Born on 22 July 1978, Duker is from the Olowogbowo area of Lagos Island Local Government of Lagos State. Temitope was born to the family of Hon. Ayodele Benjamin, one time Acting chairman of the old Lagos Island and Chairman Lagos Divisional Football Association, who later became board member of Lagos State Sports Council.[1]
Duker is married to Fidelis Duker,[2] one of Nollywood’s early filmmakers and festival organizers; and has three children by him.[3]
Career[]
Duker started her career as a filmmaker in 1997 after working as assistant producer on Nemesis, a project produced by her husband Fidelis and released the same year. Since then she has gone to produce and worked as director for several movies, with her latest being Carwash (2021), a movie that starred Lateef Adedimeji, Dayo Amusa, Eniola Ajao and Jide Kosoko.[1]
In 2003, Duker joined her husband to found the Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF), acting as Festival Coordinator from 2003 to 2019, then acting as Festival Director in 2019.[4]
Currently, Duker sits on the board as an executive director of the Fad Media Group owners of Fad FM 93.1 and Fad360 TV in Calabar and Lagos. Duker also hosts a radio show called Serenade With Bosslady.[5]

As a filmmaker, some of the projects she has worked on include Nemesis, released in 1997, where she worked as assistant producer with the producer being her husband, Fidelis Duker and featuring Jenkins Ekpo as actor. She was assistant producer on Not My Will (released in 1997) starring Segun Arinze; assistant producer on Ibinabo (released 1999) where the producer/director was with Uche Jumbo as the lead actor. In 1998 she produced Destined To Die starring . She produced Night of Vulture in 1998, which starred Zack Orji and . She produced Enemy Within, released in 1998 starring . In 2001 she produced Jesu Mushin, starring Stephanie Okereke, Zack Orji and . She produced and directed Twisted (in 2020) starring Ngozi Nwosu, Segun Arinze, , Olatayo Amokade aka , and Shola AkinTunde aka . Girls at the Carwash (2021) starring Lateef Adedimeji, Dayo Amusa, Eniola Ajao, and Jide Kosoko, where she was the producer/director.
She has also worked with brands on some of their projects on television including top brands like MTN, where she worked as make up artist for Textimania released in 2006; in 2007, Onga Time Out With Kate (as makeup artiste). Girls Next Door television series (producer), which released between 2008 and 2010. She produced Images (1997-2007) and Eldorado (2003-2009); in 1998 she featured as presenter for the Site Afrique magazine TV programme. She also created the first-ever reality television show for children in Nigeria titled Kids Alone which ran on television for three seasons between 2008 and 2011; it received a lot of media accolades; it also won the city people award for the best television programme in 2008.[1]
