The Banshees of Inisherin is an upcoming film written and directed by Martin McDonagh.

It is scheduled to be released on October 21, 2022, by Searchlight Pictures.

Premise[]

Conflict between two friends arise when one of them abruptly ends their friendship with alarming consequences for both of them.

Production[]

It was announced in February 2020 that Martin McDonagh had set his next directorial effort up with Searchlight Pictures, and it would see him reunite with his In Bruges stars Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell.[2] In August 2021, Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon were added to the cast.[3]

Filming began in August 2021 in Inishmore.[4] Scenes were also shot on Achill Island.[5] Filming wrapped on October 23, 2021.[6]

Release[]

It is scheduled to be released on October 21, 2022.[7]
