The Door is the first gospel album by Charlie Daniels, his nineteenth overall. The album was released on March 14, 1994. It reached No. 26 on Billboard's Christian albums chart on May 13, 1994, spending twelve weeks on that chart.[2]
Critical reception[]
AllMusic writes, "Charlie Daniels recorded a handful of country gospel albums in the '90s (1997's Steel Witness was nominated for a Grammy).[3] The Door was the first of these albums, less vengeful and apocalyptic than Steel Witness."[1]
