The Fisherman (Spanish: "El Pescador") is a 1996 bronze sculpture of a bare-footed fisherman named Isidro, completed by Mexican artist Ramiz Barquet and installed in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.[1] The statue was dedicated on January 12, 1996,[2] and has been described as "a leading visual symbol" of the city.[3]
