The Ghost is the third full-length album by Finnish band Before the Dawn.

History and development[]

The Ghost was released on March 26, 2006, through Locomotive Music and Mazzar Records.[3][4] The album style falls under the genres of Gothic metal, death metal,[5] and melodic death metal,[6] Before the Dawn was a solo project, as Tuomas had disbanded the old line-up in late 2005 and recorded all instruments on this album himself.[citation needed]

Background[]

Some session musicians of his new "live assault team" make guest appearances: Norwegian Lars Eikind (clean vocals) and guitarist Juho Räihä (solo on "Disappear" and "Scar") – both became permanent band members.[citation needed]

Because of the huge amount of new song material, Saukkonen created another album, The Darkness, for Dawn of Solace.[citation needed] Eikind and Räihä also play on this album.[citation needed]
