The Ipcress File is an upcoming spy thriller television series based on the novel of the same name by Len Deighton. It will be broadcast on 6 March 2022 on ITV.[1]

Premise[]

Harry Palmer, a British sergeant, is offered a position as a spy to avoid prison, and is assigned a mission known as The Ipcress File.

Production[]

ITV commissioned the series in December 2020, with James Watkins directing and John Hodge writing. Joe Cole, Lucy Boynton and Tom Hollander were cast to star.[2]

Filming on the series began in March 2021 in Liverpool.[3] Filming also took place in Croatia, more precisely Zagreb (King Tomislav Square and the Archaeological Museum), Split, Rijeka and Opatija.[4]
