The Love of the Actress Sumako (女優須磨子の恋, Joyū Sumako no koi) is a 1947 black-and-white Japanese film directed by Kenji Mizoguchi. The film portrays the life story of Sumako Matsui, one of Japan's first female actresses, and her affair with her director.[1][2]
