The Ploughmen is an upcoming drama film written and directed by Ed Harris.

A deputy sheriff forms a strange friendship with a prisoner currently incarcerated in the jail.

It was announced in March 2021 that Ed Harris would direct the film from a screenplay he had written. Robert Duvall, Garrett Hedlund, Amy Madigan and Lily Harris were cast to star.[1][2]

Filming began by May 2021, with shooting occurring near Fort Benton, Montana.[3]
