The Real Housewives of Durban (abbreviated RHODurban) is a South African reality television series that premiered on 29 January 2021, on Showmax.[1]

The show is developed as the 24th international instalment of the American The Real Housewives franchise and the second instalment of the franchise set in South Africa. The Real Housewives of Durban focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women living in Durban, South Africa.[2]

The current cast consists of Sorisha Naidoo, Nonkanyiso Conco, Annie Mthembu, Nonku Williiams, Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku, Londie London, and JoJo Robinson. Previously featured cast members include original housewives Kgomotso Ndungane and Ayanda Ncwane.

In September 2021, the show was renewed for a second season by Showmax.[3]

Sorisha Naidoo is a former Miss India South Africa, a former radio and TV broadcaster; an actress, businesswoman, the wife of billionaire businessman Vivian Reddy and a mom of two.[5]

Kgomotso Ndungane is married to former Sharks and Springbok player, Odwa, a businesswoman and a mom to two. She recently launched her luxury personal care brand, LeLaPa at Seaton Manot, in Salt Rock.[5]

Ayanda Ncwane is the widow of gospel legend, Sfiso Ncwane, and is the CEO of Ncwane Communications and Sfiso Ncwane Productions. She is also the president of the Africa Gospel Awards. In 2018 Ayanda released a book about her marriage to Sfiso, ’For The Love Of Sfiso Ncwane’.She is also mother to two.[5]

Nonkanyiso Conco made headlines as former President Jacob Zuma's fiancée and baby mother and recently started hosting the second season of Mzansi magic's original TV series Ingane Yam'.[5]

Annie Mthembu is wife of media personality Kgolo Mthembu. She owns luxury beauty studios and is an event producer.[5]

Nonku Williams opened a wine brand called Ashes to Beauty Winery and is baby mother of Sfiso Ncwane(revealed on the first episode of season 1) .[5]
