The S.O.U.L. Tape is the fifth mixtape by American rapper Fabolous. It was released on April 21, 2011.[1] The mixtape features guest appearances from Paul Cain, Lil Wayne, Broadway, Red Café, Lloyd Banks, Vado, Trey Songz, Freck Billionaire, Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie.

Background[]

Similar to There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP, this mixtape was released for promotion of his upcoming studio album, Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power. This mixtape was named The S.O.U.L. Tape based on a Twitter poll.[2]

Aaron Matthews at XXL reviewed the mixtape positively, describing the record as having a focus on "song craft and jams for the ladies", while retaining Fabolous's lyricism.[3]
