The Siege of Aquileia is a 1760 tragedy by the British writer John Home.[1] It is set around the time of the Siege of Aquileia during the Roman Empire.
Home was well-known for his 1756 play Douglas which had initially been rejected by David Garrick at the Drury Lane Theatre. However, Garrick did produce the follow-up and several further plays by Home. The original cast included Garrick as Aemilius, Charles Holland as Titus, John Hayman Packer as Lucius and Susannah Cibber as Cornelia.
