The Violence is a studio album by British singer-songwriter Darren Hayman.[5] Released in 2012 by Fortuna Pop!, it was his first with the backing band The Long Parliament. It is the third and final part in Hayman's "Essex Trilogy."[6]

Critical reception[]

The Quietus wrote that "these are wonderful pop songs, each a compacted treasure of melody and heart."[7]
