The Woodlands Preparatory School is an independent, college-preparatory, nonsectarian, co-educational day school located in The Woodlands, and in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. Founded in 2000, it is an IB World School enrolling students from students from pre-school through grade 12. The Woodlands Preparatory empowers students to become life-long learners who facilitate positive change in the world through innovation, compassion and leadership.

With the commitment of an outstanding faculty, a wonderful community of supportive parents, and a group of talented, motivated students, we have embarked on a unique educational adventure, creating a school unlike any other. We are creating a school where students can learn the skills and attitudes they need to be global citizens. This is the place for students who want to be the makers of their own futures and the builders of a better world.

An International Community

Since its early days, students have been drawn to our school from around the world, partly due to our status as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Our location near The Woodlands, an affluent master-planned community with outstanding amenities and a high quality of life, is another draw for international families. With a growing population of talented students from over 30 countries and a tradition of strong academics, we saw the opportunity to build a more international learning community.

An International Curriculum

In 2015, with the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Program and Diploma Program already in place, we obtained the IB Middle Years Program and Diploma Program. The Woodlands Preparatory School is currently the only IB Continuum School in Houston and one of only four in Texas.
