The Zulu's Heart is an extant 1908 American silent short drama film directed by D. W. Griffith for the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company. Location footage was shot in Cliffside, New Jersey.[2] White actors portray Zulu. Griffith's 1915 film Birth of a Nation depicting the Ku Klux Klan rescuing a woman was met with protests from African Americans and was hugely popular among white audiences.
